Kitchen Counter Stools/Chairs
So we have a HUGE, HUGE kitchen, but there's a tremendous center island, so there's really no room to put a kitchen table. I have been looking high and low for counter stools to put around the island. (preferably with a back to them), so we can at least eat our meals in the kitchen instead of using our formal dining room for everything.
Anyone have any suggestions on where I can look? I would think it would be easier to find these chairs than this. It's driving me crazy!!

i just got mine from JC Penney in white. i like them, nice size seat, all wood
* i had a hard time finding counter stools, bar stools seem to be easier.
they also have some on onewayfurniture.com
* this picture is of the regular chairs, the counter ones are just higher

My MIL got them at a place on Sunrise Hwy, right past Valley Stream. I don't know the name of the place but the awning said "chairs, stools, blah blah" She got beautiful ones with a fabric she choose.

Jensen Lewis has a few nice ones and if you like the Caligaris line a LOT of them are in cherry wood.

We got these at overstock.com. They are surprisingly comfortable and my nephews LOVE them!

There's a place on Rt 110 just north of Jericho Tpke on the east side of the road - I believe it's called Chairman. That's where I got mine - they have a large selection.

We did that and actually had to return the ones we bought because one of the chairs was defective. It was a PIA to return them too. Unfortunately the ones we bought were the only ones I liked and we got the last two sets.

TY so much for posting this! We are looking also. We need 2 stools for our counter.
I love the bar stools. I choose some, and dh wont agree

I know the feeling. I never realized how hard it was to find what we wanted and how expensive kitchen stools are too (and we only needed two). Anyway, we got ours from the stool place across from Fortunoffs. They are all white wood with crossbacks. I think they were $160.00 each. They had a nice selection. Good luck

Thanks again Ladies! Well JC Penny is having a sale this week and we purchased these chairs in Cherry @ $49.00 each!!!
