allIwant's kitchen cabinet facelift got me thinking about what we can do with our kitchen

does anyone know if its possible, and how much work it would be, to remove tile countertop and backsplash without replacing the cabinets. I'd love to stain our cabinets and get rid of the ugly tile countertops but I don't know if its too difficult for a DIY project.

I don't want to attempt to remove the tile and end up ruining the cabinets because we're not ready to redo the entire kitchen
