Kitchen question: What size is your sink?

I'm getting a farmhouse sink and can fit a 30" but a 24" will give us more counterspace and I'm torn. Anyone have a 24" and if so, do you feel it's too small? WWYD?

I have a farmhouse 30 - I can't imagine going any smaller. If I wanted a small sink I would have gotten a standard undermount. I think if you went with a 24" you'd defeat the purpose of a farmhouse.

Unless you're going just for looks.

Re: Kitchen question: What size is your sink?

I just looked up the dimensions on Kohler

Exterior dimensions: 37-1/2"L x 18-1/2"W
Interior dimensions: 35-1/4"L x 16-1/4"W

9 1/2 deep

Honestly I can't imagine anything smaller

Okay, this makes me an idiot, but what is the purpose of a farmhouse other than looks? I really just love the way it looks!

Chat Icon I love it because it's so big and so deep. Great for pot washing, cookie sheet washing, everything. And it's really good for bathing babies or small dogs. Chat Icon

I just got a frankiee sink 30in and it is huge and deep, I love it. However I have aton of counter space, not sure i would sacrifice the space if you dont have it.

Re: Kitchen question: What size is your sink?

it depends...how often do you use a sink? if you have a dishwasher, dishes probably go right to the washer and bypass the sink..if you are a big cook, you might appreciate the extra counterspace...it's a trade off.

i've always loved double sinks in the center of a kitchen in an island Chat Icon
