Re: kitchen remodel
A lot of the cost will also depend on if you are changing the layout (ex. Moving the stove from one wall to the other, etc...)
if you are leaving the layout as is, it won't be as much as if you were changing layouts.

Re: kitchen remodel
We gutted the entire kitchen, everything new, electrical upgrade. We also got all new doors in the house so with them included it was a little over $30,000.

At the very least. Materials and appliances alone can very easily be at least that amount, depending upon quality.

Re: kitchen remodel
We just did it and our cabinets were $10,000 alone (uninstalled). I don't even think we have that many - my kitchen area is small.

Re: kitchen remodel
I'd say $30-$40k depending on if you want middle of the road or high end for cabinets, appliances, counters, etc.
Granite really depends on how many slabs you need. I saved money because I was able to use a remnant for mine, but if you have a larger area you will need at least a slab all to yourself and that's more $.
Have fun, I really enjoyed redoing our kitchen!

Re: kitchen remodel
We did ours for about 10K, we moved the sink, changed the layout from wall ovens to a regular range, no granite. We went to Lowes and got the cabinets from Kraftmaid, I think they were about $3,500 uninstalled, the countertop was about $800. We didn't go top of the line because we knew we weren't staying long and it would be a rental down the line.
ETA - we didn't need to replace the floor. I would say our total cost including the gutting, sheetrock, installation, appliances & electric was about 11K. Image Attachment(s):

Re: kitchen remodel
Thanks every one for your advice I was hoping to stay below 15K we have a small kitchen but it needs everything. As it is right now there are only 8 cabs 2 smaller cabs above fridge and a 3 drawer unit- we probably want to add at least 4 more cabinets. We are not looking for top of the line just nice, new and clean look. But i def want granite or corian countertops. The floor- we plan on doing a laminate wood. We can do somthings our selves like laying the floor, painting. We also want to add an pennisula. and switch the stove with the fridge. My Dad is an elctrican so if we had to he could install lights.
