Kitchen Renovation -- Pictures!
Still a work in progress, still have to do the backsplash and floor, but we're done for a little bit. DH did most of the work himself, a little help from his dad during cabinet installation (while I went on 3 business trips over a month). I helped a little though!

Still got to do something with the window area I think now that the soffit is gone it looks a little empty...maybe some kind of something to hang above? different window treatment? Thinking on it but suggestions are welcome!

Love it! Gorgeous color on the cabinets. What kind of style is your home? What kind of style do you want for this room? I would love to see darker curtains, but it depends on your style for the room. And maybe some sort of wrought iron pieces above your windows.
ETA: what material is your cabinets pulls/knobs & the faucet?

It looks GREAT!
Beautiful cabinets.
As for over the window...I would probably hang some decorative pictures/plaques. Or some kind of iron scroll.

Well we live on the Jersey shore and our house is an expanded cape--our LR which is all open to the kitchen is the same color blue with khaki-ish sectional & chair. Our overall house style is sort of neutrals plus beachy colors.
The pulls and faucet are oil rubbed bronze...I was thinking about some kind of iron pieces for above the window. Basically all the window treatments (the white sheers are in the LR too) were things I just got to put up until I figured out what I actually wanted but I haven't yet figured it out haha....

love the wrought iron scroll that was posted. that would look really nice. Just start to look around for something, but something you really love. Wait unitl you see it and say "I love that".
The curtains I would do a little warmer in the kitchen. Maybe just a medium tan color. Or if you want a pop of color you can always do that too. GL!
ETA: you know what would look gorgeous for the windows, roman bamboo shades. Buy a medium tone color. something that compliments your cabinet color. Then the wrought iron piece above the windows. I think it would look gorgeous. Def. that beachy feel.

check out blinds.com or yourblinds.com for the roman bamboo shades if you are interested. that is where i bought the ones in my family room. you can get up to 10 small samples for free. I got samples from both places to see what I really liked for the room. Hope that helps!

On Your Blinds.com look under Wood Woven blinds for the bamboo ones. Some are cheaper then others. And if you find a color you like, you could look for your size in Target. They just don't have as many colors to choice from, but less money.
