kitchenaid (architect) pro-line series vs. kenmore elite - opinions please!!
we just got home from plesser's, with an idea of what appliances we like - i would prefer to stick with all the same brand. we liked the look of the kitchenaid pro-line series (which is it's architect series, but there's plain architect and pro-line). i've read the dishwasher has very good reviews on consumers, but they haven't seemed to rate the range or refridgerator. so... i would like opinions from those who have their appliances. it seems kenmore elite has overall good reviews, but we'd have to go to sears for that.
the kitchenaid doesn't come in clean steel, but i know you can put magnets on the fridge. not sure about kenmore.
also, we have a gas range now... i was eyeing up the duel-fuel 36" range by kitchenaid. it's but what do you ladies think, worth it? or stick with a regular 30" range w/warming drawer?
any recs for hood manufacturers?
i'd appreciate all responses... we're looking to buy this weekend. TIA!!

Kitchen Aid makes a great dishwasher.
Can't speak for their other appliances though.
I didn't bother mixing and matching in my kitchen. You would never know anyways as they all look similiar enough and are far away enough from each other to not clash.
I have a Kitchen Aid dishwasher, Samsung fridge, Sharp island drawer microwave, and a Wolf gas range.

I had a Kitchenaid stove/refrigerator/dishwasher at my last house. No problems at all with the fridge or dishwasher, I really liked them.
However I would not get the range again. We had issues with the fan for the oven making a loud sound (which we were told is normal) and then it completely shut down and locked the oven door the first and only time I ran the self cleaning. The repairman said he has seen this happen quite a bit and I've read a lot online about issues with their ranges.

what range was it, if u don't mind me asking? we are looking at the 36" duel fuel - and according to consumers, it is the top rated range when it comes to 36" duel feuls.

I had a 30" gas Architect Series range. It was bought about seven years ago so maybe things have improved since then?
