Kitten has roundworm- question re:other pets
I found a kitten. He has roundworm so I got him treated last Saturday for it and have another dose to give him in 2 weeks (from lSat). He passed his first stool with dead worms in it last night. How long do I need to wait before I can take him out of the bathroom where he is quarantined??? I feel so bad he's been stuck in there all alone but I don't want the other pets to get infected.

Parasites are usually species-specific, so if you don't have other cats, you're probably find to let him out. Do you have other cats?
What did your vet say re: quarantine? I'd give a call to your vet to be sure.

Well I couldn't get to the vet yet so I brought him to Save a Pet and forgot to ask that question. I do know he had round worm and one type is specific to cats and the other can be spread to dogs also. I have another cat and 3 dogs so either way I guess I am better off just keeping him separated.
I will be sending him to the vet with my mom or husband next week once I am home settled with the new baby.

I'd just call your vet and ask over the phone. My vets have always been good about answering quick, basic questions like that over the phone.
Good luck and congrats on your new baby!
