Kitty sneezing bursts

Hi,

For the past 3 nights kitty has woken up in the middle of the night and had sneezing bursts - 5 or 6 sneezes in a row. Then she goes right back to sleep. She's eating and using the litterbox as normal. I havent seen any mucus or laboredbreathing or heard any weezing.

I'm wondering if it's dry air in the bedroom since we've turned up the heat recently due to my illness and it's irritating her. Our humidifier broke last year so I am going to go buy a new one after work today.

Do you think this is a concern and we should goto the vet? The problem is here is that she is the worst patient - she needs to be sedated before she is removed from the carrier. So going to the vet is not an easy trip... Knowing that she is not an easy patient, how long would you wait to take her?

it might be too dry i would get a humidifier and see if that works. i know for us we have a air cleaner/humidifier and it seems to be helping except stubby still snores.

I would definitely try the humidifier as well...my cat is worse than I am when it isn't going.

We had the same problem in December once the heat was on regularly. We did take her to the vet and she was put on clavamox just in case it was bacterial. She was still sneezing after 7 days on the clavamox, so we tried using a humidifier in the living room where she hangs out the most and it seems to have done the trick. We also have a humidifier in the bedroom, too.

I bought a humdifier. Last night and the night before she didn't have any sneezing fits.

Fingers crossed that it continues!
