Knitting experts, please come in!!

I want to knit this bookworm. Just would like someone to interpret the directions so that I know i understand them. TIA!!!!

Its only the second row that I want to make sure I am understanding it correctly.

Pattern:
Cast on 80 - 100 sts (sample uses 80sts and worsted weight yarn)

1st row: K2tog, repeat to end

2nd row: Cast off tightly, working k2tog across the row.

Break yarn leaving a long tail and fasten off. (This is the part of the bookmark that holds the place in our book).

Darn in end at cast on edge. Paint eyes and mouth using puffy fabric paint, or glue on googly eyes.

you mean the cast off tightly, working k2tog?

that means that you're doing the same as row 1: knit two together AND casting off AT THE SAME TIME.

knit two together, then knit two together... now, you have two stitches on your right needle. pass the first stitch over the second, so you only have one stitch on the right needle. now, knit two together from your left needle again.

again, you have two stitches on your right needle. pass the first one over the second. you have one stitch on your right needle.

keep doing this until you only have one stitch left and then break yarn and continue with instructions.

hope that made sense.

Yes, that makes perfect sense, now. See, I just needed someone to reexplain. I just could not figure out how to cast off doing 2 together. But now I see. Thank you!!
