Kylie Minogue stepped out Tuesday for the first time since she and actor Olivier Martinez announced their split, making a glam appearance at the launch party for a museum exhibition of her stage costumes in London.

She told reporters Martinez was supporting her, calling him "my friend" and saying he'd sent her good wishes for the evening. "It's all good," she added.

Decked out in Bulgari diamonds, Manolo Blahniks and a purple Dolce & Gabbana gown, Minogue, 38, signed autographs for fans before making her entrance into the Victoria & Albert Museum to the strains of Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely."

As she toured the exhibit, she skipped and did a little dance as she passed some of her stage outfits, and exclaimed, "Here they are!" when she spotted the trademark gold hot pants she wore in her "Spinning Around" video.

Accompanied by her stylist, William Baker, she was surrounded by friends from the fashion and pop worlds, including Boy George and Dita Von Teese.

"She is having a great time," a pal told PEOPLE of her visit. "She seems really pleased with the exhibit and is having fun."

Was she putting on a brave face? "It is not a case of brushing aside all that has been going on," said the friend. "She is simply having fun tonight."
