La Quinta, CA
anyone ever been? I am going in Feb. and staying at the La Quinta Resort and Club.
Any info would help.

Yes! DH and I stayed there in June. We loved it!
Great staff, service, restaurants (Mexican, especially), pools. I didn't get to the spa and we don't golf, so can't comment on those.
Be very picky about your room. When we checked in, they had us in what turned out to be one of the "historic" rooms. It was very small and in a bad location (not facing a pool, a ways from the car and too near the main area). I was heartbroken. DH went back to the lobby and they moved us to a huge room in a great area; I think it was in the 1700s or 1800s. (Look at the resort map online.)
It was fairly quiet during the off-season; I'd think it would be packed in Feb.
While we were there, we visited Joshua Tree state park and went on the arial tramway up a mountain.
Before we went to LaQuinta, we also stayed at the JW Marriott for a night. It was nice, but I really liked the smaller feel of LaQuinta much better. I would go back in a heartbeat!

I almost forgot -- I love the toiletries from there, too! I bought a big thing of the body lotion -- coco mango.
