Ladies, I am feeling so upset right now, should I be? Re: FET (long)
I went for my blood work and sono today! My E2 (Estradiol) is at a 176 (they want to see over 200 on day of transfer) and my lining is at a 7.0, they want to see AT LEAST an 8.
My DR decided (and I do value his knowledge since he gave me my DD 21 MOS ago through IVF) that I should wait one more week for my transfer. It was scheduled for Wed, 7/14 and he wants me to wait until Wed, 7/21 now. He wants me to increase my estrace to 6 pills a day, not 4 and come in next Thursday, 7/15 for a sono and blood work again and if all looks good I will start my micro meds on Fri, 7/16.
Here is the thing that I am upset and scared about. If, and only if I ovulate on my own between now and next Thursday 7/15 when I see him my cycle would have to be canceled. Now, we don't even know if I do actually ovulate (we think I have annovulatory cycles) but YOU NEVER KNOW!
Please send prayers my way that I DO NOT ovulate until then.
He said to me, look, "if you want to go with the transfer on Wed we can start your micro meds BUT since both factors are against you at this given moment...thinner lining then we'd like, and lower estrogen level then we'd like I think we should wait to give your embies the optimal chance to implant."
I don't kno why I feel disapointed, it's weird!
Have any of you ladies been given a potential FET date and then also had it postponed a week?

Well, I just did two b2b FET's. Most people ovulate when E2 gets to over 300. Why can't they monitor you more? That part I don't understand...then they wont miss anything. These things get postponed all the time. And you don't want to do it unless everything is where it should be. Good luck.

Hummm..interesting. I asked him about monitoring me more but he said I'd have to start my micro meds now to have my transfer on Wednesday. My DR only does tranfers on Tues and Wed's so once Wed passes (my original transfer date) the next date to do it is the following week. He said with FET's they're more flexible. I will be SOOO ****** if he is steering me wrong here! Do you know if its true that when you are on estrogen your chances of ovulation are slimmer?

if you are worried about ovulating between now and then (although it doesnt seem like your doctor is worried about thise) maybe you should ask about ganirelix or similar, since that will stall ovulation until the time is right.

I think it is better for you to wait. The better the lining the better the chances of implantation...
Actually I was postponed several days with my first FET and was freaking out. I waited and wound up getting pregnant that cycle.
Listen to your drs!

Have you tried placing the estrace under the tongue for better absorption, and 2 vaginally? I took 4 orally, 2 vag. I drank 2 cups red raspberry tea, and laid off the coffee, which was hard - i m a starbucks fan, but I also heard that accu and did the 7 pills of lemongrass a day...good luck...and yes I agree with previous poster, you should be on ganirilex to stall ovul...call your dr. he may be dropping the ball on this one...
