Ladies I need some postive encouragement

I have mentioned that I worked for a jerk and not only is he a jerk he isn't competent at all. I could and have done his job. Anyway they are finally "moving" him out of the position. Apparently talks of this change have been going on for months and no one has said a word to me until yesterday when one of the the supervisors who has a big mouth blurted it out. I knew something was up when I saw my job in the newsday. Apparently it wasn't my job it was his but of course they didn't want to embaress him so they didn't put his job title down. That week I had numerous people ask me why I was leaving. It was embarresing to say the least.
Anyway they stepped right over me and are hiring someone from the outside to be my boss. I was told it could someone who had this job 5 yrs ago. This company is a big clusterfuck! Anyway I am so mad. The only reason why my boss finally said anything to me was because of the supervisor blurting it out. My boss of course didn't even care about how the company handled it.

Here is the thing I know the director thinks I am an idiot because the jerk I worked for tied my hands with a lot of things and basically took me down the ship. I have to have surgery on my foot so I cannot go to the director and "fight" it out because I cant go to another job if it doesn't work out. So I am backed into a corner right now. Not to mention that my new boss who I have no idea who it will be except that it will be a man of course and I will share a work space that is tiny beyond tiny. Anyway this could happen any day may be even Tuesday and I wont know until that day.
DH says dont worry you will be out with your foot so who cares. He is right but until then it is a few weeks and this stinks. Obvisously as soon I can I will look for a new job. I am just so mad right now. Sorry to vent just needed to let it out. TIA

I think you need to worry about your surgery right now since that is more important. As far as the new boss, don't let yourself think negatively. Maybe it's someone that will work out for your benefit. Once you get back to work do what you know you are competent of doing to show him that you're an asset. Good luck!!!!!

Just try to stay positive - I am sorry that you have to deal with it even for a little while, but your hubby is right- just hang in there! Find yourself a job where you will be happy and appreciated- it will be their loss!

thanks for your support. My surgery of course is a priority but it is the day to day BS that stinks. I am trying to be positive to the idea of a new boss but its hard knowing how these people work.
