I asked Dr. Hanauer if/when I have to do this. She said just to take note of your baby's patterns. She does not believe necessarily in a kick count - but said it's good to watch their pattern later in the pregnancy.

My doc hasn't asked me to do this and I doubt it will be necessary. I swear this baby is on speed or something. Chat Icon

Yeah my midwife just asked me to get an idea of my baby's pattern of movement. Not necessarily to count kicks.

We give out fetal kick count sheets at my hospital only when patients complain about feeling decreased fetal movement.

My doctor hasn't mentioned anything about it. At every appt they ask me if I feel the baby every day, but not specifically to count anything. I am almost 34 weeks.

My doctor didn't mention that I should count the kicks. Everytime I go, he just asks me if the baby is active.

Same here, but if the baby doesn't move within the hour I'll see if i can get him to kick and so far he's been responding when I do that if he gets lazy.

Read about them, but the dr never said anything about them, just to note patterns of movement.

I was given the kick count sheets at the Peri office at about 32 weeks. They said it is not homework yet but to pay attention and make sure I am feeling movement. If it is decreased I have to do a count.
