Ladies in your 30's and peri-menopause?
Does anyone here in your 30's think you are or have been diagnosed as being in peri-menopause - or do you know anyone that is?
I've been having some issues and seriously wonder if I am.

Re: Ladies in your 30's and peri-menopause?
My mom was diagnosed with being peri-menopausal when she was about 40... it was such an uphill battle for her... I don't know anyone as young as 30 having it, but I would see a Dr. if you think that's the case.
FM me if you want to compare your symptoms to my mom's...

Re: Ladies in your 30's and peri-menopause?
I'm 40 and starting to experience what I believe to be peri-menopausal symptoms. My gyn said it can, and probably will, start and stop and that the timing is about right for me. What I have noticed is changes in the length of my cycle and killer pms.
I do have a good friend who was told she was peri-menopausal at 35. She was having very heavy mid cycle bleeding. She did however have a family history as her mother went through a fairly early menopause and was done with her period by 45.
Do you know what your mother's history is?? I've been told that can be a fairly good barometer.

My mother was totally done with menopause by the time she was 46/47 (I'm 39). She swears I'm starting.
My PMS has been killer too and my periods were worse than ever before I went on the pill. Now they are lighter (but not light - just better than it was), but I am still bleeding for half the month and I still feel like my hormones are all over the place.
I've had thyroid tests, biopsies, sonograms, and a d&c and nothing has shown up.
