Ladies that had their Glucose Test
Did they take blood before and after the drink?
I only got blood taken after the drink. I asked her if I need to have blood taken before the drink and she said no.

for the first test they only take your blood exactly one hour after you had the drink

they took mine before and after the drink for the one hour.
ETA: i also had to be tested for any antibodies to rh+ blood before i got the rhogam shot and for anemia, so that was part of the first bloodwork, but they took 2 vials, so i'm not sure which was which.

Just had 3 hours glucose test today. Ya know what I think they did take blood right before the drink, then 1x every hour for the 3 hours...so yay 4 times total.

For the 1 hour you only get 1 draw (you drink then they draw your blood 1 hour after you drink).
With the 3 hour - they draw your blood, then you drink, then they draw your blood once every hour for 3 hours (so you get a total of 4 vials).

They take 1 vial of blood before you drink which is your fasting number then 1 vial every hour if your doing the 3 hr..
for the 1 hr. they take just 1 vial after your drink the drink..

I think if you do a fasting one hour they take it twice. Non-fasting they take it once.

For me, the one hour they just took blood after the drink. For my three hour, they took my fasting blood and then on the hour after the drink.
