Ladies that started out with big knockers...

haha.

I was a D before I got knocked up. I don't think the girls have gotten TOO much bigger, but they are SO frekkin HEAVY and my bras are seriously straining to do the job!

Are there special bras for pregnant women?? Do I just go get new ones?

I need some serious bra help!!!

Re: Ladies that started out with big knockers...

I think I'm going to need new bras soon (they are def. beginning to spill out a bit). My boobs don't feel bigger, but def. heavier!! Plus, the straps are digging into my shoulders.

I think next paycheck I'm going to head to the bra outlet (not sure of the name, playtex, etc) and buy two/three larger strapped bigger cup ones. Hopefully they will help.

I was a DD, now i'm an E. I went straight to wearing nursing bras bc they were comfortable enough.

Re: Ladies that started out with big knockers...

it has been weird with me... my cup size didnt get that much bigger- what really grew was the area around my rib cage... i got bra extenders to make my other bras larger- i also got some maternity bras and a sports one to help with the support- i really think you just have to find something that is comfortable for you- also, under wires started KILLING me, so I only bought wireless bras- DH calls them my saggy boob bras Chat Icon

Re: Ladies that started out with big knockers...

I was a D and was up to a DD at about 8-9 weeks, mine are still killing me at 16 weeks, and I think they've gotten bigger...so I just am buying a few bigger bras, I made out well at the Victoria Secret Semi annual sale, since I don't want to go out and spend tons of money now on new bras when I may grow out of these again Chat Icon

i started out a 32 DDD... i think i got bigger in the band and in the cup but surprisingly, i was able to get a 36DD that fits really well. i went to georgette's in hicksville to make sure i got a really good fit.

they look HUGE when they are not "restrained" though Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Ladies that started out with big knockers...

My boobs are definitely bigger-- but I can still get into my bras.

I hear ya on the heaviness thing-- they are SO heavy. I want to weigh them Chat Icon They also hurt like hell.

I am going to hold off on getting new bras-- as my doc said they may go down once I get to the second Tri. I have seen ads that show maternity bras that grow with you-- but, I can't imagine the support or look of them.

Re: Ladies that started out with big knockers...

I just upped my cup and band size by one and bought two new bras. I have no idea what's going to happen, they haven't grown that much just yet. But even this new size feels tight. I didn't even think to try 2 sizes bigger. Oh well, I will just keep buying new ones if I need to.

I am a DD and when I had my DS, I switched over to the nursing bras but before I did that, I bought the bra extenders that they sell at Motherhood...that bought me a couple more months...the nursing bras arent the prettiest looking things in the world but they do the trick Chat Icon

Re: Ladies that started out with big knockers...

oh lord yes.. I was a large C/small D and now I think they are full Ds... it's just getting out of control. I tried bra shopping this weekend with no success.

Any bras that's comfy and looks good? (hey, a girl can dream!)

I was a large C/small D but now I am fitting tightly into my D bras. Hopefully I'll just stay this way.

Re: Ladies that started out with big knockers...

I would go and get fitted. It is uncomfortable when those things are in a bra that doesn't fit right. It is bad enough being PG in the summer!

If you are in nassau, go to Georgette's in Hicksville ----suffolk go to Blum's.

I second Georgettes - they will ensure you get the correct size bra. Most women wear the wrong bra size, which is the biggest problem.

Me too. I started at 38D and now wear 44DD!! Chat Icon And... they are getting snug! I think I will be going to 46E soon. Nursing bras are great too- esp. the cotton ones!! Georgette's is a great store to get a bra that fits properly and so is Blums, located in Patchogue. Chat Icon
