ladies who are on/were on progesterone

When did you stop taking it 10 or 12 weeks? With DS I took it till 12 weeks but my doctor with this pregnancy told me to stop at 10 weeks.

Also, I will be 10 weeks next wed but only have enough pills to last till mon. I called my doctors office and the nurse called back and told me I should be OK to have mon be my last day. Do you think 2 days will make a difference?

I was on suppositories until about 12 weeks, and then my doctor switched me to pills from weeks 13-16. He had me take the pills every other day for the last few days to ween myself off of them.

Personally, I think he kept me on them too long, but I've had a very healthy pregnancy, so I'm sure he did something right!

I was on Prometrium with both pregnancies. With ds I stopped at 12 weeks and with this one 10 weeks.

I was completely off progesterone at 8 weeks. My RE said they usually stop then as that's when the placenta starts to take over.

I was on suppositories from IVF transfer until week 7. Then I started bleeding and they thought it could be cervical irritation from them so they switched me to PIO from weeks 7-13. It turned out to be a blood clot but they kept me on the shots.

I could have stopped at 10 weeks but I still had some left so I kept going until 12 weeks. Ask your OBGYN
