Did you lose the extra weight from pregnancy because you weren't eating as much, due to a decrease in appetite, or was it like some weird hormonal thing?
Just curious.

I'm loosing more weight now that I stopped since I'm not eating as much, and went back to the gym. I feel it takes your body a good 2 years to get back to "normal" again after having a baby. My hormones still feel a little wacky, and my son Just turned a year.

I am not sure, maybe a combination? I am probably less hungry, but since I am running around after a 16 month old I am sure that makes a difference too. I held onto about 5-10lbs until I started weaning feedings after I dropped the majority of the weight 4 months pp. I still nurse in the AM, but I feel like I am pretty much back to where I started. HTH!

When bf'ing you drop the baby weight faster but it is harder to get down to your prebaby weight. The body holds on to the last 10lbs or so. It is a defense mechanism from when food was scarce. The body makes sure you hold onto enough fat reserve to sustain you and baby through the dry season if that makes sense). I dropped the last of the weight fast when ds weaned but then again I was pregnant again already so I may not be a good example.
