Ladies who wear powder foundation:
Have you found one that gives the same amount of coverage as liquid foundation, or is that impossible?
I'm thinking of making the switch, and I went and tried a powder foundation at the mall. I loved how it felt like I wasn't wearing makeup, but it looked like that too!  I still would've needed to wear coverup to even out my skin tone or hide any breakouts - it was really transparent.
Can anyone recommend a brand that covers well, or am I asking for the impossible?

Physician's Formula Talc-Free Mineral Wear PRESSED POWDER has nice coverage...I love it. It is the same? No, but if your skin is fairly clear, it's perfect. Also has SPF. Not shimmery like other brands.

I switched from Mac liquid foundation to Bare Minerals.
I use Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer over any trouble areas 1st, then Bare Minerals on my whole face.
My skin is so much clearer since switching to Bare Minerals. I cannot believe it!
ETA: You could also try a tinted moisturizer under the Powder foundation... I know a lot of people wear a tinted moisturizer on its own, but I have pretty oily skin so that wouldn't work for me.

I actually use the Loreal brand
Before this I always used a heavier liquid, but this covers great!!!!

ITA! i love this stuff! i still need to use concealer on red spots but the powder goes on top and totally smooths everything out - my skin looks great!

I love BM - you can add as much coverage as you need. 2 "swirls" on the same spot is enough coverage for me.

I use Bare Minerals. I have been using it since 2005. I love it! There are some days when I have horrible redness and I just have to use their concealer then the foundation. No complaints.

I have to agree. My skin can get SO blotchy, but Bare Minerals covers it up so well. I swear I'll never go back to liquid.

I use a sponge instead of the brush with either Bare Escentuals or Physicians Formula (loose) and seem to get better coverage. I will also use a concealer if I have any bad areas.
I like the physician's formula one that looks like a pen.
ETA- I break out a less after switching to mineral foundation, so I need concealer less often. I still wear liquid for special occasions.

you should try the mineral powders. i use sheer cover and love it!
