Ladies who were overdue

Well, I never thought I would be posting this, being that I started having pre-term contractions at 28 weeks but anyway....


How many days after your due date would your dr consider induction---I just want to be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel!! Also, did anyone ask to be induced earlier than what the dr suggested? Thanks ladies!! Hopefully I will be able to join you in no more than 2 weeks!

I know the frustration, I was on meds and bedrest at 26-36 weeks with DD cause of pre term contractions.

My Doc will not let me go past 41 weeks. They started offering induction options at 38 weeks, only if I had made progress in dilation and effacement. They won't induce a closed and tight cervix.

Def ask your doc!

I was induced 1 week late. But my Dr. wanted to induce me on my due date! I held out hoping to go on my own...had the 1 week late date set Just in case....and by then I was READY! Good luck!!!!!

My Dr wanted to induce me when I was 41 weeks, I was scheduled to go in on a Monday but DS came on his own that Saturday.

He would not even discuss until I was 1 week late. Then he wanted to wait another week, but that would have meant missing Thanksgiving and I couldn't have that

Turns out, I went into labor 8 days late, one day after I saw the doc.

Had a c-section on my due date. Baby showed no signs of wanting to come out. He just kept getting bigger and bigger. First dr said we would wait a week, then he pushed it up to my due date.

I was scheduled to be induced when I was 12 days overdue but DS decided to come via C-Section right before then.

My doc was going to induce me one week past my due date, but I went into labor two nights before the scheduled induction.

My Dr. was basically ready to induce me on my due date - that's because 1 week past my due date meant a 4th of July weekend baby. I made him wait until July 5 to induce me (Exactly 41 weeks). Don't regret that decision one bit.

I was induced 6 days past my due date. I wanted to wiat a little longer but the Dr. felt it was best for the baby because he was running low on amniotic fluid.

I went into labor 1 week past my due date, but my doctor was going to induce me that Thursday. I would have been 1.5 weeks late.

I was induced 9 days after my due date.

They were going to do it 10 days after but on the 9th night I went on my own.

I personally didn't want to be induced so I was willing to go the 42 weeks that my midwives would let you go. I ended up delivering 5 days late.

i was 10 days late...the only reason they sent me to the hospital to induce was because my fluids were low..so i am assuming i could have gone longer..BTW..dont rush it..LOL...i was so shocked at how hard a newborn was that i wish she was back in..LOL..now its wonderful..but the first few months..OMG..lol

The day after my due date I went for an appointment. At that time they scheduled an induction for that Friday, 5 days late. I believe they did this because of the size of the baby. I really wanted to go on my own.

I was 12 days late and had no fluid left when they did the stress test s o she induced. If everything was ok, she doesnt induce until 14 days late


ETA: They will induce with a closed cervix (mine was) if you have no fluids left.

My Dr. induced me the day after my due date.

I did NOT want to be induced, so I held out and had her 10 days late (iI went into labor naturally but wound up with pitocin to help the contractions along anyway)
