Ladies whose babies had a single vessel cord

At my 20wk visit in november my little Chat Icon has had only one artery instead of two in her umbilical cord.

My question is did you deliver normal or small size babies and if you had the baby early?

DD is on the small size and I am at 32wks and will be 33wks on saturday. I had my first biophysical on monday and now I have to go every week and along with doctor visits for the remaining lenght of my pregnancy.

The test showed I was possibly having contractions and the doctor made sure I wasn't going into preterm labor with 7wks left. Everything turned out fine in the end but I am still nervous.

Any experiences with this issue would be appreciated. Please send out some prays that I don't go really early and she weighs in good for my due date.

my sis 3rd baby was born with one. She had to see a High risk doctor each week and have sonos to check development. She has a beautiful healthy almost 3 year old boy now!!

eta: she had overproduction of amniotic fluid also, so she had to be induced, but still had a vaginal birth on time. Not sure his exact weight, I think he was average size baby, and was released from hospital with my sister, didnt have to stay any longer.

did the baby weigh in small or arrive early? Thats my concern, because she is weighing in alittle under 3 1/2 lbs. So far i have gained 35 lbs.

I eta my post with answers sorry forgot to put.

I believe he was normal size, not sure exact.. Ill have to check for his announcement card. He came on time, but had to be induced. My sis gained alot of weight b/c of the excess fluid production, and was swollen for a few months after delivery.

DD had one artery. Scheduled C about 2 weeks before due date. 6lbs, 3oz 18.5 inches. She's 2.5 yo now, and very healthy... Chat Icon

3 years earlier, DS had both arteries, water broke about 3 weeks early, emergency C, and he weighed 5lbs, 14oz at 18.5 inches.
