Ladies whose bellies are stretched to the limits... numbness?
DH asked me why I spend so much time on this forum and in front of my laptop if I haven't still asked if anyone else is experiencing this...
So, here I go...
Is anyone else whose bellies are really stretched out noticing that they're losing sensation on the outsides of their bellies?
For me, it's mostly been in the very tightest of areas, around my belly button kinda, or just above it and below it. (Not my belly button itself, which is now stretched out completely flat and so ugly, but is still very sensitive to touch.)
I noticed that when DH rubs my belly or touches me, I can't feel his hand on the outside anymore, at least not well. I can barely distinguish when the baby is moving inside my belly from when DH presses on it.
I just was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this? I realize most people who could answer this question have moved on to the parenting board, but I wanted to try to ask here anyway. TIA

Re: Ladies whose bellies are stretched to the limits... numbness?
When I was pregnant with my DD, I noticed some numbness in my belly.
It went away after I had the baby!
Never asked the doctor about it... just assumed it was from the skin being so tight.

I've had some numbness too but always at the top. It always just goes away.

Yes! Exactly and its such a weird feeling. Especially since I'm itchy. I scratch and in places it feels good and then others I don't feel anything. So weird!

Well I personally dont have any numbness but my lamaze nurse told me numbness was completly normal because your stomach gets so streched especially at the end that its like its falling asleep almost. I wouldnt worry about it!

Yup, sometimes my belly skin feels numb--I assume from all the stretching.
