Ladies with GHI...WWD
Dr. Bravermans office just told me that GHI will not consider b2b IUI's as two. Which means you need to try for 12 months, and have 12 IUI's. I am beyond devasted. Has anyone fought GHI on this and WON? I can not imagine going through this for another 9 months
DH thinks because its not 100% that i will get pregnant, we should wait the 9 months because 20k is A LOT of money for us, especially considering its not such great odds for us.

I don't have GHI, but I just wanted to say I'm sorry and give you some virtual hugs 
That really, really stinks. I'm not sure what your reasons are for going through infertility treatments, but if it is something that causes it to be extremely unlikely that IUIs will work for you (my DH's counts are LOW!), maybe you could compile a bunch of research about that and appeal GHI's decision.

 I have GHI but did my IVF back in 2008 before they made up their new rules. I think they are insane for doing this to people. If I was in this situation I would pay outof pocket for the IVF bc of my age I wouldnt wast time doing 12 IUI's but that is just me. Who know youmight get lucky and get pregnant with IUI. I wish you all the best and to all the ladies on here I wish you all luck on your journey to having a baby

I have GHI but we didn't even attempt IUI's. We went straight for the IVF.

They require 6 medicated IUI cycles and 6 without meds before they approve you for IVF. And yes they are total PIGS, and truly disgusting human beings.

What if you require meds? do they make you do 6 without?
I really think they want you to grow impatient so that you decide to pay out of pocket.

They require at least 6 medicated, the rest i guess is up to you. This is for MY particular situation. I know for over 35, the rules differ and GHI has different plans, so please check with your specific plan.

i might have to call GHI. My doc thought that they would count B2B as two. But if thats not the case I dont want to do that.
