Ladies with PCOS..Here is some Hope
My girlfriend just called me to tell me she is 10 weeks pg with her 3rd DC.
She has a 24 mo old and 14 mo old already. She also has PCOS. Has been on Metformin, had to do clomid and here she is a soon to be mommy of 3.
While I was sort of sad when she first told me (just because I wish it was me sharing pg news) I turned the pity party into a positive. If she can have these beautiful babies then I too will get my BFP one day. I just have too keep on staying positive.
I can't wait to make my DS a big brother.

I have PCOS as well, and I just got my BFP with #1.
It's kinda sad to think that, just 50 years ago, someone like me would have died without having had any children--it just wasn't possible.

It's amazing how medically things have changed and we now have a change at experiencing motherhood.
I have PCOS and just hearing about my girlfriend and when I read your post about your BFP I was smiling ear to ear. It gives me the hope I need to keep on going. Even when it gets harder and harder.

PCOS is a very treatable cause of IF. A woman can become PG fairly easily with the proper treatment and medication.

I'm glad I could give you some hope! There were plenty of girls here on IF that gave ME hope when I was going through those rough times. And as I'm sure you already know, we have a saying on the IF board that says "You WILL be a mommy!" And it's true!!!

I have PCOS too so it's so good to hear success stories! If I may ask, what treatments/medications did your friend use?

I'm on Metformin (didn't bring O by itself), but I took Clomid (100) and the Ovidrel trigger shot last month.

Currently I am on Metformin 1000mgs and will begin Clomid in 2 weeks. I also see an RE now. My girlfriend was taking the same.

Re: Ladies with PCOS..Here is some Hope
I am also a mommy with PCOS. I have a 21 month old DS and DD is due April 30th.
I became pregnant with both quickly (DD on the first cycle!)
I took Clomid along with Metformin and Dexmethasone. These meds will make you ovulate late in the cycle, so don't get upset if you are on them and using OPKs (this happened to me...I ovulated around day 20 or 21).
I have a wonderful MD, Dr. Geoffrey Redmond, who is an PCOS specialist.
