Ladies....Im nervous
I have to go for this REALLY embarrassing and evasive test tomorrow at Stony Brook hosppital. I am going to be MORTIFIED!!! 
Im so private about certain issues and this is putting RIGHT OUT THERE!!!

I am sure the people who are giving you the test do it all the time, so try not to feel so embarassed about it. I am sure the anticipation will be worse than the actual procedure. Good Luck!

Aww....good luck.
I used to be that way until I gave birth and all went to heck....my vagina never had so many visitors - it was an open house to the medical staff at Winthrop Hospital

I think I have had just about EVERY embarrassing test there is out there at this point so believe me when I tell you, it's over in a flash and not worth HALF the sleep you are losing over it. Trust me. Xanax doesn't hurt either  Good luck and it's going to be okay!

I used to get embarassed about anything invasive at the doctors, and then I realized, these people do this for a living! I simply don't care anymore. If you look at it as if the doctor (or nurse, or lab tech, or whatever) is simply doing one more test on one more patient and they're completely used to it, it may seem less embarassing for you.
I have no idea if this helps you, but thinking about it that way helped me get over any privacy issues with a doctor.

For as awkward as it may be...it must be necessary. Like others have said...it's nothing they haven't seen before so just tell yourself that all they are thinking of is medical medical medical. I'm sure that they will be really good about trying to make you feel comfortable.
