Lake George or Poconos...
Thinking about a weekend getaway with DH...want a nice place to stay-not too much $$$
Where should we go? Any ideas for things to do? We are thinking October-Fall Foliage...
Any good places to stay? Eat? Activities?

Re: Lake George or Poconos...
We went to Split Rock Resort in the Pocono's a few years ago for a long weekend (in the wintertime).
The place was nice - we had our own cabin in the woods, but we had a very unfortunate incident with a skunk that forced us to flee the place in the middle of the night.
I would definitely recommend that resort, though.
