Lake George this summer
Anyone been there with their kids? Looking to go with another couple for a long weekend.
If you've been please recommend a nice, kid-friendly hotel and things to do.

We went last summer for four nights with another couple and their son.
We stayed here...
Whispering Pines
I was fine with it, but my DH didn't like it. He's used to staying at more upscale hotels, but IMO, Lake George is more for "roughing it." But trust me, we really weren't roughing it. The cabins were small, but clean--bathroom was the only problem (really couldn't even turn around in it.  ) We BBQed 3/4 nights and afterward, put the little ones to bed and sat right outside on the picnic benches with a fire going and kicking back with some drinks. Fun--especially with a group!
As for activities...
We went to Ft. William Henry (not necessarily little kid friendly, but hey, it's OUR vaca too!).
Took a cruise on the Minne-ha-ha on Lake George.
Went to Magic Forest--what a throwback, but sooooo cute for kids up to age 6 maybe.
Went to Echo Lake in Warrensburg.
Walked around the village and hung out.
Other things we didn't get to...horse and carriage ride, water park, amusement park, also, I think the "North Pole" is around there.
If I remember anything else, I'll edit. We're going back this year with two other couples this time and I can't wait!!

Oh yeah, I remember you telling me. You'll have to let me know where not to go. I remember you told me about the neighbors and all.
We want to go b/c DH went there a lot when he was a child with his cousin's so his cousin's wife and I were talking about going together with the kids b/c they're the same age and her daughter will be 3

Ive been going to lake george every summer for 20 years. Now were taking our kids (4 & 2) since theyve been born. We go with alot of family and friends. We take our boats and jet skis but if you just going for a weekend its still a nice place to relax on the beach, walk the town. Every Thursday night they have a firework show in town. There is a water park, an amusement park, mini golf and go carts. I dont know how old your kids are but my girls love it. If you have any other questions you can fm me if youd like.
