Re: Lake Norman, NC Area
Lake Norman is BEAUTIFUL. The lake itself is HUGE and the houses in that area are fabulous. It is about 30 minutes away from Charlotte, where I live. My DH's boss lives there.....

Huntersville looks very nice. Do you know how the schools are?
Also, we want a community with a pool and golf course. Do you know anything about Northstone or Birkdale? Thanks!!

Re: Lake Norman, NC Area
we are moving in an apt complex right next door to Birkdale. It is soooooooo nice in Birkdale. The houses are great. So much character.
Huntersville Elem is suppose to be great. Crime is low. I will know so much more in 2 weeks when we move.

Across the street from Birkdale is a driving range, but I don't think they have a golf course.

I used to work in Huntersville - for the Parks and Recreation Department. They do lots of good events for the community and have a beautiful rec. center there.

Re: Lake Norman, NC Area
Several of our friends live in that area. They all decided to move to the same area, so they know people. One of my friends was a RE broker here, moved there and got licensed for North Carolina, and now she is a working broker in Lake Norman. FM me if you want her contact info.
DH and I have visited. Everything is very new and clean. From what we have heard, there is one school district in the Lake Norman area that is pretty good.
