Lancaster, PA: Eden Resort & Suites-Need Reservations Help!
I know a lot of families have used this property to stay and go to Dutch Wonderland and other area attractions. I am thinking of booking a room for late August and am wondering if you could offer some help. DH and I will be taking just the babies with us (2.5 yrs and 1.5 yrs old). Both will still be in cribs at that point, and I am worried about sleeping arrangements. I don't see any info on the hotel's website about cribs- are they available and have you used one? I am leaning towards booking a 2 Queen bed room, and figure we can push one of the beds against the wall and then figure something out for the other side of the bed and not bother with a crib at all.
Have you stayed at this resort with small children? If yes, how did you handle the sleeping arrangements? Also, I was thinking of booking the poolside room- is the pool far from other rooms or is this option just for view purposes rather than convenience? Lastly, another couple may be joining us. Has anyone else booked rooms separately and requested to be next to or near another family? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Yes they have the standard hotel metal cribs. Aslo there are 2 pools.....inside and outside. Either way they are not a far walk. We actually never stayed in the main part of the hotel but the suites in the back of the hotel. They are near the playground and outside pool. They are a separate entity and the last time we were there they bumped us to the penthouse suite at no extra charge! It was amazing.....it was like having your own 2 bedroom house!

I just booked a few days ago. When you 'select' a room it will bring you to a page where you can add 'extras'. on that list at the bottom there is a selection to add a crib or pack and play. it is free. HTH

Thanks. I was originally booking from the BW site not the hotel's site itself, and the PNP/crib option was not there. Now I see it!

We stayed there last year and we got a one bedroom suite. The best option for you because you can put both cribs in the bedroom and close the door and you have the suite to yourself. They do have the standard crib, we just brought sheets and blankets. DS was 15 months.

Re: Lancaster, PA: Eden Resort & Suites-Need Reservations Help!
Ok we stayed there last yr when my DD was 13 months. LOVED it and we are booking (most likely again) this summer.
We brought out PNP for her to sleep in and she had no problems. LAst yr we booked a 2 room King room so there was a bedroom with the King bed and we put the PNP next to the bed, but then there was a separate living area with a door so after she went to sleep we were able to stay up, watch TV etc. Room was located on the 2nd floor i believe in main part of the hotel. It was a last minute trip and that was the rooom that they had. And it worked out soooo good.
This yr we might get one of the suites/ villas. They are located by the outdoor pool separate fromt he hotel. Look soo nice.
I woudl not recommend getting a room near the INDOOR pool tho on the first level. Seemed very noisy and I know we would not be happy there bc your room is literally steps from the pool.
The resturant there for breakfast was great (Arthur Terrace) but we hated Garfields (think that is the name). Would say go off the propert for dinners. Good and Plenty is a must stop at for dinner! SOO GREAT!!!! the hotel willl give you a card with driving directions on how to get there.
We did a whole day at DW instea do f2 bc on the day we arrived it was a monsoon but it still worked out great. We had spent 2 prior days at sesame and regretted it and said we should have just gone to DW and Eden the whole time.
This yr we want to do Hershey too.
Let me know if you have more questions.
ETA: In the summer months they have free ice cream stand for all the guest which I thought was a nice touch and the lobby always has free coffee/ tea service which is nice too.

I haven't traveled with kids, but we had a pool view room. It was just a balcony that over looked the pool. We still had to walk down to access the pool.
The only way to have direct access would be to have a ground floor room.

I think it will be perfect for us! I've heard so many great reviews by people on LIF, I know we cannot go wrong. And it's a huge plus that it's not too far away and a relatively inexpensive getaway.

Re: Lancaster, PA: Eden Resort & Suites-Need Reservations Help!
We stayed there last August when DD was 19 months. We loved it there. We got the king suite as well and it was perfect. It cost a little more but it was well worth it. We got the PNP because the year before when we went away, we got the crib and DD's legs were going between the bars. While we were there, it was too chilly to use the outdoor pool, but the inside pool is really nice. It was the first time DD was in the pool and she LOVED IT!!!!!!!! We didn't eat at the restaurants there, but we ate at Miller's for breakfast & Good & Plenty and Bird in Hand for dinner. We definately plan on going back to Lancaster and stay at the Eden Resort
