landscaper recommendation

That's not going to be an arm and a leg...We need our front and our back redone..the back is pretty self explanatory bushes out, hedges out and just grass down...The front we want to do some sort of nice design, take out most of whats there and re-do it with something nicer...We have a lot of dead and overgrown bushes...I usually plant my own things, but taking everything up and then replaning while I'm 7 mos pregnant I'm not too sure that'll work and DH is not the handyist of men Chat Icon We're also hoping to not spend an arm and a leg on this...if anyone has done something like this how much did it run them???

Re: landscaper recommendation

It is very expensive. We had about $6,000 worth of trees and shrubs cleared out. Then yard was seeded- $2,000. Then we had in front of the house only landscaped- mulch decorative trees and that was about $3,500.

Maybe do a little at a time.

1) have yard cleared of trees and bushes now

2) in late spring or early fall have grass seed done

3) Have some basics done in front for curb appeal

4) back yard last

Let them do it! It is soooo do-able. DH and I did ours including the stone retaining walls. It looks pretty damn goodChat Icon For the bigger bushes, we tied a chain around them, tied it to the bumper of my truck and drove. They all came out in about an hour. They were old and huge.

I will try and find some pics to show you.

Re: landscaper recommendation

We did this. Plan on spending around 10,000 or so, depends on what you want planted.
