Lapband

I have always struggled with my weight and do try my best with exercise and Weight Watchers but I am at a point that it's a huge depressing struggle for me.

My mom is a nurse and I have spoke to her and my cousin is a nurse who works with a doctor that does this surgery (she even did it herself). But I wanted to know if anyone here has had the surgery and would mind sharing their experiences.

I did not have Lapband, I had gastric bypass in 2002. I know several people who have had lapband though. With either surgery, you get out what you put in. I know people that have lost weight with both and I know people that lost weight initially and gained it all back, with both. I know this is not what you were looking to hear. I do hear that recovery is easier with lapband, which I don't doubt. Lapband is also "reversible" because it is a physical device around your organs. So yes you can have the device removed, but then you have removed the "tool" that helped you lose weight.
