I want to buy my cousin a laptop for her birthday. I am clueless. It has to be a dell since I have a discount there. Can someone tell me what one would be good? She just needs it to go on the internet and write college papers!

I just got this one:
Inspiron 1525, Intel Core 2 Duo T5750, 2.0GHz, 667Mhz, 2M L2 Cache
and have had NO problems with it whatsoever!
I love it! I think it was approximately $650.

Thanks! It just seems like they always start out at $500 and then when you add Microsift next thing it is $800!

Honestly, I have a $800 laptop that I purchased off ebay for $360...it was brand new, fully loaded, fully insured, and from a very reputable buyer. I know people are weary of buying off of ebay, but I'd be happy to share teh seller with you.
I bought the Toshiba Satellite A205 and love it! I know you have a discount w/Dell, but sometimes it doesn't do much for a discount.
At Circuit City for double the price

My brother also has had a lot of success buying this type of stuff on ebay. Mine had to be Dell b/c I use it for work as well and they only support Dell or Macs.
