Laptop Questions-Router Help
im a newbie and technically challanged.
IF my Notebook is wifi enabled, what do I need in terms of wireless router for the home?
Are they all the same?

All you need is the router. We just hooked up my new laptop this week. It was pretty easy...surprisingly since we're not technologically inclined either!

buy a linksys wireless router..probally better deals online then in store.
follow the insctuctions to encypt your connection and to setup laptop and your all set...

I also like Linksys. We got a free one from our internet provider but it's not Linksys.
Make very sure you have your security features enabled. When choosing passwords, used capital letters, lower case, and numbers.
Anyone closeby your house can jump on your connection if you don't enable your security features. May not sound like a big deal but if your neighbor decides to use your connection to download music or operate a web server, you'll notice the difference.

I would suggest the same - and to make sure you get a linksys that supports G (rather than a B)
