you can make it a week ahead of time if you freeze it. my MIL does that a lot. this JMO but I wouldn't leave it the freezer longer than that. but that's me

I usually assemble the entire lasagna and put it in the fridge for up to two days - then you just have to pop it in the oven when you are ready to cook it.
