last minute cruises?

DH and I are interested in going on a cruise this summer, but are trying to save money. I know there are a lot of websites that offer last minute cruises at discounts. We were thinking of picking a week to go away and then waiting to see what was available. Has anyone ever done this? Which site did you use? TIA!

I have never used them-- but my old client was American Express Travel (americanexpress.com/travel) and they partnered with site59.com (part of Travelocity) and OurVacationStore.com (cruise specific) for distressed inventory-- which is what you are looking for.

It's basically travel packages that have not sold out-- and the ship will sail regardless if those rooms are booked-- so you can get them very cheap.
