Late monitoring hours
Hi ladies, I know I don't often post here but I do lurk- I hope you don't mind me asking a question! I'm wondering if there is a facility that has late monitoring hours. I went to LI IVF which have very early hours but with work and now having a toddler things are a bit different the second time around. I'm looking to see if I can find a place that has afternoon monitor hours after 4- (teacher) just to take a bit of stress off my plate.

Re: Late monitoring hours
why is that? only one office does late day monitoring.
I know most medications are taken in the evening and adjusted that day based on blood work, but if they get the results in an hour why not have afternoon bloods??

Late monitoring hours
It really sucks that more offices don't have late monitoring. As anxious I am to get this cycle going when I call on day 1 of AF and have to schedule an appointment on day 2 they won't have anything early (before 7:15) which will really suck.

Late monitoring hours
I always tried to get late appointments too but was told at RSOFNY mineola that they didn't do but DH cousin goes to islip office and says she goes after work (she's a school teacher). I don't go there anymore, so I'm definitely not recommending them.

Re: Late monitoring hours
I totally hear you. It is very tough. I have TTC #2 for a few months now, and as it is, going through IF is stressful enough, but on top of that I have to worry about what to do with my DS in the early morning before monitoring appointments and getting to work on time (My DH works nights and doesn't get home until later on in the morning).
Unfortunately if this cycle doesn't work, then I don't know if I am going to be able to continue seeing the RE. My DS just got accepted into a pre-school which is definitely important for him to go to. I am trying to work w/ my job to see if I can drop him off at the school and come in late, but that would leave me no time to go to monitoring appointments at all in the morning..
It would be GREAT if RE's offered evening monitoring appointments. I can get to my OB in the evening, but they just wouldn't be able to help me out like a RE would.
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to just have sex and get pregnant?

Re: Late monitoring hours
This is my biggest issue. For the first, I didn't have to worry about dropping anyone off at school. It was just me and I made sure to get there early enough to be the first to be monitored and got to work on time. I am a school teacher so its not like I can be late to work as I have a class of 6 year olds waiting for me This time its much harder and i thought because i do get out of work relatively early, I can make it for afternoon monitoring but because of this new contract Monday and Tuesdays are now my extra long hours so 5 o'clock would even be too late.... I guess i'm stuck with early morning monitoring.... There's really NO easy way out of IF.... Now my question is should i schedule to do it like around Christmas time because we are given the time off or just do it now and see where I stand?! AHHHH
