Late on this but...Boy's Winter Coats - not too puffy
I found a few online but can anyone reccommend their boy's winter coats that are not too puffy but are nice and warm? Preferably fleece lined? Right now I have DS bundled up in layers but with the weather today, it's time for a real coat!

Try the Old Navy or The Children's Place. I saw some on those stores a few weeks ago.

DS has the lands end one and it's my favorite...
if you're looking for something you can pickup in store, try childrens place and BJs. I was @ BJs this weekend and they had really nice oshkosh coats that were fleece-lined and not bulky.

I got the Childrens Place 3 in 1 coat this weekend for DS. It's $49.50 and I had a coupon for 25% off.

Check out Lands End overstock they have their squall jackets and parkas for $19.99. They are very warm (has the warmth ratings on their site). They were recommended by my car seat installer b/c they are not puffy.http://www.landsend.com/ix/overstock-liquidations/Boys/Outerwear/Jackets-Coats/index.html?seq=1~2~3~4&catNumbers=318~338~339&visible=1~1~1~1&store=ov&sort=Recommended&pageSize=12&tab=8

Jen - I totally agree with this! I just got one for Samantha. Although I didn't know about the overstock site and paid full price for it!

I know I didn't know when I first got DD#1's parka this year - I bought it with a 25% off coupon and free shipping. She goes outside everyday for preschool in all weather but rain - so it gets pretty cold. After I received the parka (got boots, and the bibb too for the snow) I found out about overstock on their site - the up side was that I was able to get her the squall jacket for $19 - so she now has 2 coats which works great when one needs to be washed (and they get so dirty out there).

I had no idea about the overstock. I had a non-overstock squall jacket in my cart and literally was about to checkout when I read your post. I got a squall jacket in the the same color scheme at a savings of $31! And the original coat was backordered until 12/6. This one isn't. Thanks!

I got DS a nice peacoat for $20 from target. It's def nice and thick, but not too thich. Keeps him warm, but safe to wear in the carseat.
