Re: Laundry room?
Mom's house (where I live) basement. WISH it were on the 1st floor
FH's place - it's in the basement, but so is the whole apartment. i LOVE how convenient that is. Also, the people who rent the 1st floor have their washer and dryer in the basement too in our entrance, mud room

we're at the mercy of the laundromat. but i dont sit there and do it. we just drop it off and pick it up, and even THAT makes me feel over-exerted

Re: Laundry room?
Its in the basement. My SIL has it in the mudroom off the kitchen, and I used to wish for that, but ow I like it in the basement to keeptthe noises away from me

Re: Laundry room?
First floor, but my house only has a crawl basement.
I dealt with the laundromat for YEARS and growing up, the washer was in the kitchen and the dryer was out in the garage. That house had no basement. I am so thrilled to have a little laundry room- you have no idea. It's sort of sad how I love doing laundry now,

Re: Laundry room?
We are in an apartment and it's in the boiler room. I have been going to the laundromat for ten years now, I can't tell you how much I love having a washer/dryer....laundry is my favorite thing anymore!!

Re: Laundry room?
ours is in a mud room off the kitchen, I really wish it were upstairs though on the second floor. When we were looking at houses I saw quite a few with it there and I think it's a great idea.

Re: Laundry room?
I have a hi-ranch with two levels. The lower level is 1/2 above ground, 1/2 below ground. The laundry room is on the lower level (not a basement, not quite the first floor )

Re: Laundry room?
we have 2 washers & 1 dryer inteh basement of our 6 story building ( we liv eon 3) We always just go the the laundromat down the street instead.
My requirement for buying a co-op/conmdo is that I can have my own waser in my apt.

Re: Laundry room?
ours is also in our bathroom - 1st floor. Then again, we have a ranch home/no basement, so there's really no where else to put it. Nice thing is - when the house was renovated before we moved in, they built a special partition in the wall behind the shower to house the stacked washer/dryer, so it doesn't stick out at all.
When I lived at home, our washer and dryer were in the basement - two flights down from my bedroom and so annoying!!
