Law & Order SVU - Can someone give me a quck recap?
It's been a while since i watched, i usually catch the reruns on USA. but i saw a commercial the other day and it said it was the return of Mariska Hargitay...where did her character go? A quick recap would be great!!! TIA!

She was pregnant soI think they wrote her off for a while....and now she is back .. I am almost positive this is the reason

The pregnancy def. played a part, but they didn't write it in as part of her character.
I think this is what happened (unless I'm confusing my storylines):
The story-line was that she was uncovered some grass-roots terrorist group and she had to go undercover as one of them. Apparently she somehow became close with a few key members of the group and she had to go away (with them, not sure?) to prevent blowing her cover.
Her partner Elliot didn't know she was going undercover and he was really angry. He was going through a lot with his job and divorce and her leaving him put added stress on him.
I'm looking forward to her return though.
