lawn fertilizer and pets
The backyard grass is pretty much "gone" or really damaged. We had 2 puppies last year and I did not use any fertilizer, crabgrass preventer, etc...
This is looking pretty bad.
They are still young and eat "stuff".
What can I use that is safe with my dogs?
Is turfbuilder safe, etc? How do I re-seed the lawn?

Re: lawn fertilizer and pets
well the chemicals are not safe. There are organic patch products that you can use, but even those can hurt the pups. I usually do one bit of the yard & then leash walk them for about a week until the turf grows in, then do the rest of the yard & leash-walk them on the finished side.....

there is a fertilizer out there that is pet friendly (my mom uses it because she has two dogs). I'll ask tonight on what its called.
