learning to crochet?

I really want to learn how to crochet, I'm always amazed and fascinated by what people can create. Anyway, does anyone have any recommendations on how I can go about learning? Classes, books, ANYTHING? TIA!

Re: learning to crochet?

I am just starting myself. I think that AC Moore may have clasees and they have a ton of beginning information and projects in their stores. There are a couple of LIW ladies that get together once a month to crochet.

Re: learning to crochet?

Hi ladies, what time are you meeting? DH is working late and DS will be with my MIL tomorrow night. I crochet. Dabled with knitting but can't get the hang of it. I would love to meet up with you.Chat Icon

ETA - response to first post - there are also kits you can try to teach yourself with. If you're good at following directions, you can try this.

Re: learning to crochet?

I bought a book, looked up some directions online and then watched some youtube videos when I got stuck. They helped A LOT... especially in the middle of the night when I could not put down a granny square that I could not get right. I guess I am a visual learner! GL!Chat Icon
