leaving my 3 and half month old for a weekend away
My husband and I are going away for the weekend- out east. My baby will be staying with my sister so I know he will be fine- but do you think he is to young to leave? Also will he miss us ortoo young to know? starting to feel really bad.

At that age you'll most likely miss him more than he misses you

Re: leaving my 3 and half month old for a weekend away
seperation anxiety usually starts around 7 months. Obv. every baby is different. I left my DS overnight at 3.5 months and HATED every second of it, he was more than fine, many people think I am crazy and say the time away is needed, it was NOT for me. Everyone is different. I think listen to your gut and do what you want your LO will be fine. its how you will feel that you have to make your desicion dont listen to anyone but yourself.

Same here. DD is almost 4 months now and I won't even leave her for a few hours. A little while back my mom suggested DH & I go out on a date, and since we did need that time alone together we did it. DD was absolutely FINE in my mother's care, but I couldn't handle it. I worried that she'd get hungry or feel scared that I was gone, etc. So, yeah, I'm a wuss and time away is not for me either. lol. But like pp said, I think we moms have a rougher time with it than our little ones. lol

If you can do it, go for it! I recently left my 7 month old for 12 hours while I went to great adventure with my husband and I missed him SO much!! that is the longest we have been apart...I couldn't leave him for a weekend..but that's me

Re: leaving my 3 and half month old for a weekend away
We left my youngest @ 2.5 months to go to the DR with DHs job. Honestly he did not know. My oldest was 13 months & knew but did not carry on at all.
