Re: leaving your car running
I wouldn't leave my car running anywhere period!! Let alone the 7 eleven parking lot! Might as well put a "please steal me" sign on it

Re: leaving your car running
No...
I would have to leave the door unlocked to do that and I never leave my car unlocked and unattended...I've watched too many horror flicks , and really don't want my car to get stolen.

Re: leaving your car running
Just to clarify that I am not an idiot...
the auto start keeps the car running with the doors locked and no keys in the ignition...

Re: leaving your car running
I have it too, and love it. Its funny cause my car is OLD and I have this fancy thing on it. But it was new at one time
so yes, with that feature sometimes I leave my car running

Re: leaving your car running
no WAY! I see people do it a lot and I always think they're nuts.
I only leave my car running in the really cold weather, but it's in the p-lot where I live, which is gated.
my next car will have a remote start.

No. I know someone who was at dunkin donuts. Left his car running he was standing in front of the window watching it and they stole it. He got it back and NOTHING was taken I guess someone just need a ride home!

Re: leaving your car running
I do all the time. I have automatic start, and when you remove the keys if someone goes and hits the brake to take it out of park the car shuts off.

Re: leaving your car running
I actually used to do this all the time about 5-10yrs ago. I would go to work early on monday mornings (About 530-6am). I would start my car drive it ice cold and window sheild still half frozen to the 7-11 a few blocks from my house, leave the car running, run in get my coffee and run out. Actually everyone did it at that 7-11. By the time i got out of the store the car would be warmer and I would go to work. Didnt think anything of it at the time. Now I wouldn't do it.

Re: leaving your car running
No way!!! I never let my car idle even with me in it. Idling vehicles just contribute to the pollution problem.
