I don't know if it's legitmate or not but I can't stress enough...USE A PROFESSIONAL FOR YOUR ESTATE PLANNING DOCUMENTS! This is your voice should you become incapacitated or die and it should be explained to you and decisions made based on those discussions. This is not an area to save a few dollars on.

The estate tax laws are changing.
If you own a home in this area and have other financial assets, pension, 401K, you could be close to the federal limit.
While we are not considered "rich" we did need to do some extra estate planning in order to avoid the estate tax penalty because are assets are subject to federal tax if both of us were to pass.
It's not just a will. Some need a trust. We all need health care proxies, power of attorney, living will.
We chose the firm we did because they update our docs to reflect current and future changes in the law... important.
Not an area to go cheap.
