Legally Changing name
Hi- I hope someone can help with this. Right now my name is hypenated. I want to change it so it is just my married name. Does anyone know where I would go for this. Thanks!

Start with SS, then DMV, then do all your Credit Cards, any Loans, Voters registrayion, Doctors charts, etc ...

What does your marriage certificate say? If it includes both names, I *believe* you can use one or the other interchangably so you wouldn't have to change it 'legally', just let offices like the DMV and social security, passport, etc to change your documents. Check on that but I'm pretty sure that's the case.

I just looked at my marriage certificate and it says only my married name.
