Lemon curd? for a middle cake layer?
I have never used lemon curd before, what does it taste like? Good or bad for a cake, i am making a cake for MIL's birthday who is allergic to chocolate and peanut butter so im making this Vanilla Cake with Italian Meringue Frosting but the middle layer is lemon curd, not knowing what is tastes like personally, is that good or any other suggestions for the middle layer??

I've never tasted it but this is the second recipe I've seen (recently) that calls for lemon curd...where do you find it?

lemon curd is delicious! my friend's mom makes cupcakes with lemon curd in the middle. yummmmm.
it's kinda hard to explain but it's basically soft and spreadable and VERY full of lemony flavor.

it keeps the cake really, really moist.. depending on how its made, i can love it, or just be ok with it.. but its really good as a middle layer.
