Let me try this again. Do you have a son? If so, does he have hair? If both these things apply to you...

how do you style it...if at all?

My son is almost 8 months. The sides and the back are really short, but the top puffs up. I was using J&J leave-in conditioner to bring it down, but ran out and can't find it anywhere.

Do you use any "product" in your boy's hair or let it be?

(PS...the reason for this post is because I posted TWICE and got TWO replies (both of whom told me they keep it natural...thanks again ladies!)...I would figure there are more than three of us with boys. Chat Icon Chat Icon )

I let it be.

He got his first haircut at about 10 months though because it was getting longish on top. He's had 3 since then (he's 18 months now).

ETA - Once he got hair, it stood straight up on top - I left it that way.

Hi! Sorry, I did see your post this morning but I didn't get a second to respond.

I DO have a son. (he's super cute too! lol)
He has curly hair that wants a haircut that I just refuse to give.

I don't style it. I just wet it and brush it forward and then run my fingers through it so it curls up. I want to put product in it, but I don't know what to do exactly and I think it's a little too long to style the way I think it should look, so he's just going to have to wait until I cut it. Which is not going to be anytime soon because I don't want him to lose any of his baby yet and I think that happens after the first hair cut (his first birthday is this week and I'm not ready to let go of my infant Chat Icon ).

Here he is eating dinner last night - messy.

I don't put anything in DS' hair. Actually once in a while, I'll rub a little lotion on my hands (very little) and pass my hand through his hair. His hair is very soft and "dead" sometimes, so a little lotion helps give it body.

Normally I let it be but I love to use a little gel and spike it up in the front or give him a little "fuax-hawk" bc he just looks too cute with one - I just don't always have the time (or I would always do it!). He is 15 months and has had 2 haircuts so far (the first one being right before his 1st bday!)

ds #1 has really thick hair that somehow grew in perfectly... People used to think I had given him a haircut (in my profile pic that is him around 7 months and he never had a haircut!)!

I just used to use a little aquaphor and push his part over to the side (I think everyone looks better with a little side part) Chat Icon

Now that he is 2 years old we buzz the sides and spike the top sometimes. Here he is now...

I use a little dab of vaseline for both of my kids.

I put a pea size amount on my hands, rub it in, and then run my hands through their hair. It works really well and it's not greasy looking at all, unless you put too much. Chat Icon

Same here. We don't put anything in it. If it gets a little unruly, I just wet it and comb it.

my son has an afro. thick, super cork screw curls. we love it long and thick and poofy. The members of the peanut gallery often complain about how long it gets. so we cut it and I usually hate it with a passion. I just trimmed it today and left the top long. I think he looks handsome.

His hair was always long and thick and we always left it that way.

I started styling it when he was three. And his hair was cut too short. Now that it's long again I let it be!

My son is 19 months now, and we just buzz it short and keep nothing in it.

Before I started cutting it, I would let it go natural and just comb it as soon as we got out of the shower. Sometimes I ran a little lotion through it, but nothing other than that. His hair is wavy.

We just leave it alone. It is short on the sides and fluffs up on top.

Re: Let me try this again. Do you have a son? If so, does he have hair? If both these things apply to you...

DSs hair is always done! I just put lotion in it in the AM (sometimes afternoon too) and comb and brush it into place. I fix it throughout the day if needed. obviously sometimes it gets out of place (I dont obsess about it and will leave it, but if going out I fix Chat Icon)

DS is almost 13 months and we have cut his hair 3 times. I hate him looking messy.

I am probably no helpChat Icon because DS has VERY stick straight hair that lays flat to his head & grows forward on top!!

I just buzz it & fade it from a #1 clip on the bottom to #4 on top so it's Marine short!!! I love long haired men (think hair metal bandsChat Icon ) but LOVE LOVE short haired little boys!!!

DS has a double whorl in his hair which makes for a wicked cowlick. Right now I leave it alone because it's flipping adorable, but I know the fauxhawk look is going to get old pretty quickly.....

DS had LONG hair - I cut it at 4 months old. I think I cut it 3 or 4 times before his 1st birthday. That's my suggestion to you. Then you don't have to worry about any poof!

Usually I just leave it. I have tried to spike it but DS just pushes it back down. For the summer, we gave him a very short cut this way it was easier with the pool

DS has my thin straight hair. he was born almost completely bald and it is slowly growing in. the top is longer than the bottom and sides. the top moves around in the wind and if he's all sweaty, but we just leave it. all you really need to do to it is slick it down with your hand and it stays. sorry i'm not more help!
