let the hospital runs begin? early contractions at 22wks
i felt some discharge trickle down my butt and it woke me up at 4am, called my ob practice and they told me to goto l&d. the good news - no fluid leakage. the not so good news - i was having some contractions at 22 wks... so they gave me indomethacin and monitored me for a few hours. finally went home at 10am but what a halloween morning!! i can say that that the facilities at NS manhasset is still nice but they're undergoing construction so as cold as it was last night, there was no heat! the nurses and dr's were great but the person that ran the triage desk failed to tell my nurse several times when i pressed the call button. those were my only gripes. we got to see baby though on the sono and that was really nice. dr told me to take it easy the next 2 days. have any of u ladies had contractions this early on?

Re: let the hospital runs begin? early contractions at 22wks
Yes, I had contractions at 22 weeks and also was given indocin to stop contractions. At that time my cervix was still very long and there was no known reason for the contractions. Doc told me it just happens with some women. I also tested negative for the test to see if I was going into premature labor. I am currently 36 weeks My only words of advice, take colace or start eating a lot more fiber b/c the indocin did a number on my stomach. Also make sure to drink lots of water. Feel Better!!!
