let the mind games begin....
So I know that I posted yesterday that I have a feeling that I am out this month. And hard as I try not to get my hopes up....I can't. So I have a question.
I have had a dull pain in my right side, right below the hip bone for about a week now. Could it be a sign of anything?
ETA: I found this online.....any truth to it?
It is more than likely the corpus luteum cyst that develops post-ovulation. This cyst is the swelled follicle on the ovary that released the egg during ovulation. It swells and releases progesterone. If no implantation occurs, it shrinks and the other follicles begin the race for egg release next month. If implantation does occur, the follicle stays swelled and continues to release progesterone until the placenta has developed enough to produce its own - at around 10-14 weeks of pregnancy. The pain can come and go and be sharp and short, or can be drawn-out and achy/throbbing. It will go away when the cyst shrinks after the placenta starts making its own progesterone so the crampy feeling may persist until then.!

I don't know how much truth there is to it but it sounds pretty good to me.

I don't want to get your hopes up, but I have definitely heard of some women having cramping from a corpus luteum cyst. Hope this is your month!
